Sensational Butterflies Exhibition

If you love nature, keep reading. On the other hand, if you have a phobia of butterflies or hate them for some reason, this post is not for you!

I love nature. I love it. I don't think I've mentioned this before, but now is probably the time to proclaim it - nature has always been my thing. Animals, plants, trees, mountains, rivers.. etc., you name it. Having said this though, certain insects I cannot stand, such as cockroaches and mosquitoes. Same goes for arachnids and snakes. Even though I wouldn't want to be stuck in a room with any of those, for some reason I still find them fascinating and could probably watch documentaries on them. Any nature program, in general.

The Natural History Museum here in London currently have an exhibition showcasing butterflies, called Sensational Butterflies, where you can walk around between them and generally just gawk at them. It's meant to be educational with sign posts explaining everything about butterflies. The best part was actually seeing them hatch out of their cocoons, which sadly I forgot to capture, because I was so enraptured by the whole process. At the end of the exhibition, a teeny butterfly sat on my shoulder which was amazing (I secretly wanted them all over me!). And before you leave, there is a mirror to make sure you don't accidentally leave with butterflies on you, which I found to be quite a nice touch.
